Avery - Potty Training

I have been trying (half-heartedly at times) since the spring to potty train Avery. When the warm weather hit, we put her in big girl underwear and went outside for quite a few days in a row trying to let her get the feel of wearing underwear, knowing when she had to go, and going to the potty. Needless to say, it didn't take. She didn't really care if she didn't make it to the potty - totally different from potty training Corrie. So we've been working on it off and on since then.

The Carson's are some of our dear friends at Renewal, and Mattie, their youngest is about Avery's age. Mattie started wearing big girl underwear last weekend and Avery finally found the motivation to start doing it herself! She's been in big girl underwear for the last 4 days with NO ACCIDENTS! I can hardly believe it! Whoever gave the sage wisdom that they have to want to go to the potty before potty training actually happens was so right!
